Can Garrett remove my information from broker archives?
Garrett can prepare deletion and opt-out campaigns covering personal information held by listed data brokers. After profile review and the required authorization, eligible tasks find strong matches, send requests, track replies and re-check listings. Some brokers ask you to verify your identity or use their own process. Garrett records requests and observed results separately; it cannot guarantee that a broker erases every archive or copy.
What does Search and Destroy cover?
Search and Destroy brings exposure matching, investigation and response preparation into one workflow. Enabled sources include public breach notices and leak-post metadata, with permitted checks of referenced public dark web pages. You can inspect the source evidence, check times and coverage in your dashboard. Coverage depends on available sources; not every leak is indexed.
Can Garrett help with false claims or a coordinated pile-on?
Bring the original posts and explain what you observed. Supported cases cover Instagram, TikTok, X and YouTube, with profile comparisons, private evidence, reporting drafts and a record of your own reports and follow-up. A concern is recorded as a concern until evidence supports it. Ordinary criticism alone does not establish abuse, and a similar handle does not establish who controls an account.
What happens if I already clicked a link or sent money?
Start a suspicious-message case and say what happened. Garrett can organize the evidence and suggest recovery steps and follow-up. You remain responsible for urgent actions through verified account, bank or platform channels. Garrett does not recover money automatically or guarantee a recovery.
Is this useful if I am not technical?
Yes. Ask in plain English or use guided setup. Behind the scenes, specialist workers handle checks, evidence, follow-up and housekeeping in the cloud. The service is maintained and updated for users; you do not need to run servers or learn its programming tools.
Can I try it before I pay?
You can create an account free and review the plans before paying. Using chat or monitoring requires a paid plan. The separate three-day developer trial is card-required and covers MCP/API tools only; it renews at CAD $4.99/month unless cancelled before it ends.
Does Garrett replace antivirus, a VPN or identity theft insurance?
Keep your existing antivirus and VPN. Garrett adds research, monitoring, case work and supported DNS filtering. It does not provide credit monitoring, identity theft insurance, blanket access to private markets or guaranteed data removal. DNS filtering does not scan local files.
Does it scan my inbox or watch my social accounts automatically?
Submit the suspicious messages you want assessed. Profile cases use links and evidence you provide; they do not continuously crawl your social accounts. Exposure monitoring checks supported identifiers against enabled sources after the required ownership confirmation and permission.
Will Garrett fix my website or take down a copied profile?
Supported website recovery can restore a healthy version you approved for a connected Cloudflare Worker. Other websites still have public monitoring and investigation options. Profile cases prepare evidence and reporting drafts for you to review and submit; Garrett does not promise automatic platform takedowns.
Do I have to leave the app open?
Enabled cloud monitoring and scheduled cloud tasks continue with the app closed. DNS filtering works after you approve the relevant device or browser settings. Optional in-app checks run while Garrett is open, and local connector reports depend on their own connection.
What happens to my information?
Your saved targets and private cases belong to your workspace. Retention rules clean up eligible old working data and temporary captures, with preservation checks for important records. You can remove supported saved profiles and cases, pause collection and disconnect services. Some history remains after disconnecting; verified account-data requests are handled separately. External checks use relevant providers and the permissions shown during setup.
